Family visit on Monday

This past Monday, February 20, was a holiday in the U.S. The date is President's day. This holiday gave everyone the chance to meet up at Marie's house on Monday. My older sister, Annette, their kids, Amelia and Daniel drove down from the Sacramento area, and I took my parents, Lars and Lauren up from the south bay.

Marie, Michael, Michaela, and the newest addition, Mariah are all doing well. After my older sister visited for a while, and went for a walk out on Heron Bay, they left to go home. That left the rest of us to go for dinner at the local chinese restaurant in San Leandro. Mariah slept for almost the entire visit. She seemed so peaceful while the rest of us sat and visited while the little kids played.

Michaela was in her element getting to play with the big kids Amelia and Daniel. Lauren on the other hand was a little overwhelmed with the crowd and how many people she wasn't familiar with. She finally calmed down after my older sister left and was able to deal with a smaller more familiar set of faces. Still she remained a little agitated until we got home, where she immediately finished off a bottle of formula and went right to sleep.
