Yes, it's true. We really are planning another move. It seems so soon, but believe it or not we'll have owned our current home for 2 years on July 7. With that in mind, and the need to downsize, we went ahead started a house hunt last month.
It culminated in our finding a home in Santa Clara that is the perfect size for us. Our new home is in the city of Santa Clara, considered slightly more desirable than San Jose. The new house is 2520 sq ft, still large for the Bay Area, on an 8247 sq ft lot, which is really good size lot for California. The house is currently configured as 3 bedroom, 3 bath home, which we will convert to a 5 bedroom, 3 bath home before we move in, which we estimate will be in July, after we finish our upgrades and repairs.
We'll then sell our home sometime over the summer hopefully!
Strangely enough, I'll miss our current home. To me it's the home my parents moved in with us in, the home that Lauren really has become a toddler in. It's the home with the best memories. So yes, as much as everyone else dislikes our current home, I'll still really miss the "monster" house.
