I've never been very comfortable with death, and of course my dad's cancer my mom's previous bout with breast cancer have made all of us look seriously at the issue recently.
So I guess it was more of a surprise for me, when I found out this past Tuesday that a cousin of my mother's, related to her by marriage had passed away. She had been battling liver failure, and was on the transplant list, but succumbed to the organ failure around 10am on Tuesday morning.
She was a very friendly and caring woman, always willing to help out. During Marie's wedding she and her husband spared no effort in assisting us to get people chauffered from place to place. I will have good memories of her, may she rest in peace.
