Christmas Past

Christmas 2006 is now Christmas past. We had a large gathering in our home on Christmase Eve as usual. Sufen, Annette, Amelia and Daniel showed up early to have breakfast with Grandma. Marie, Michael, Michaela, Mariah, Bau-be, and Michael's mom Virginia arrived in the afternoon.

Lars worked all day on Christmas dinner, while Lauren played with her cousins. My uncle Tao and aunt Cathy, along with cousin Jeff arrived just in time for a sumptuous Christmas dinner which included turkey, pork loin, home-made mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, etc. My cousin Eric arrived late, as he had to work at Macy's. We let the kids open presents first. Lauren seemed to really enjoy opening presents, something she didn't understand last year.

The kids all seemed to enjoy their presents. Daniel was super-active for quite a while with his super hero toys. Amelia was helping all her cousins enjoy their toys. Michaela spent much of the time coloring in her new Dora activity book. Mariah, just smiled and enjoyed her first Christmas with everyone else. Lauren ran around helping everyone open their presents!

All in all a very successful Christmas, now past.
