The Mom Update

My mom had a CT Scan last week and this week we received the results from the oncologist. For the most part things are better, the fluid in her lung has reduced, although there is still some fluid there. In addition some small nodules were discovered, but they are too small to be able to tell if they are cancerous or if they are just cysts. So for now the doctor just recommends we continue the course of treatment that my mom is on and monitor the nodules to see if they increase in size.

Her blood tests have remained pretty stable as well, which indicates the cancer is not spreading and the chemotherapy is keeping the cancer in check.

My mom's also trying to keep active. Every Thursday she attends a Basic Yoga class, which seems to be helping her with her breathing and stamina. It allows her to get some exercise which she doesn't get much of the rest of the week.

So keep your fingers crossed, and let's hope that the good news continues to come in.
