We've settled on a date for our move to the new house. It's going to be on October 19th, regardless of how ready the house itself is. That means one last big push this weekend to get the finishing touches on the house done, and lots of packing to get finished before the movers show up on Friday, next week.
It also means lots of address changes coming up! The good news is we're planning on keeping the same phone number in the new house, no thanks to AT&T. By switching to a digital phone system we can actually keep the same phone number, so we're doing that.
As for the old house, the news remains the same. There's really no movement in the buyer's market for homes, so our house is still on the market. I have tentatively put up ads to rent out the home, and these have had a much better response. It looks more likely we'll go this route for the short term.
Lauren's been going to her new daycare for visits this week and she's really enjoying the new environment. She loves having new toys to play with, and as long as we're in sight she has no problem. I'm more worried about next week, when we leave her by herself there.
