My mom is currently battling a cold, so has been a little under the weather for the past few days. She's lost her voice, so talking has been difficult for her.
The bad news is that the doctor doesn't think her chemotherapy is working very well for her anymore, and there's no other treatment available that she hasn't tried. So we're going to continue on with the her current chemo regimen. It means she will have to continue having more paracentesis procedures to remove the fluid from her abdomen as the fluid will continue to return.
As you know my mom's a trooper, and she keeps herself busy and active. She continues to play with Lauren, Michaela and Mariah, and even tries to entertain guests when possible.
We'll be going to Las Vegas for her birthday, and I'm sure she's still excited by that prospect.
