Lauren was at daycare this morning when apparently she skinned her knee after running and falling. She didn't hit her head, but after the teacher picked her up, she stopped crying and held her breath and passed out. Apparently she only lost consciousness for a a second or two, and came right back, but it was enough to scare us into taking her into the doctor's office, especially after her head injury last year when she slipped and fell.
The good news is that the doctor thinks it's a vasovagal response to being scared, and wasn't anything serious. Lauren seems completely normal since the incident, and was probably more upset with us being upset, than with having scraped her knee. We had an uneventful day after the doctors office and she's been quite normal since.
