We haven't had a Parent's Night Out in a while, and when we found out Lauren's school was going to have one with Lauren's teacher, we thought this would be an ideal time to get some time without Lauren, and Lauren agreed. She really likes her teacher, so having a Parent's Night Out with her was more than amenable to her.
We took the opportunity to have a nice dinner out at Sonoma Chicken Coop in Campbell, a favorite restaurant of ours that we rarely get to go to. Downtown Campbell last Friday night was packed, as was the restaurant, but they moved pretty fast and got us out in enough time to make it to our movie. We went to see "Red", a wonderfully funny and action packed film that kept us on the edge of our seats.
It was rather late when we got back to the school to pick Lauren up, but of course she was still awake. When we're not with her it's one of the few times she can force herself to stay awake. Otherwise she's out like a light early, like last night when we went to Pasta Pomodoro in the Rose Garden for dinner. She was asleep at the dinner table by 7:30PM, because we agreed to hold her towards the end of dinner.
