Sunday was Michaela and Mariah's performance in the Nutcracker. Marie was kind enough to invite us a long so I took Lauren and we drove up to Oakland to watch the performance.
Mariah's performance came first in the second act, where she was part of group that played elves and fairies. You can find her as the third fairy from the right in the video below.
Michaela's performance was closer to the end of the second act where she was part of a group of peppermints. She's third from the left in the video below.
Lauren had a tough time recognizing the girls, since the dancers were dressed to look alike, but after I identified the girls to her she was happy to watch the performance.
Afterwards, we joined Michael's family at Picante restaurant in Berkeley where the girls had a nice dinner, before we headed back in the rain to the South Bay.
