SVCS - Chinese New Year CSL Class from Timothy Chiu on Vimeo.
We had our family Chinese New Year dinner on Saturday. Many thanks to my Aunt Lih-Ping for hosting the whole family for dinner at our favorite restaurant, China Stix. It was great to see everyone and of course, Lauren loved getting all the "hongbao". Thanks to all the relatives for making Chinese New Year a fun time for all of us.
On Sunday, Lauren had her Chinese New Year performance for her Chinese School. The video is above. (The password to type in above is "cslnewyear".) As you can tell, the kids got to sing four songs in Chinese as part of the celebration.
Afterwards we drove down to Santa Cruz, where it was incredibly warm for a Sunday in January, and we had a great time on the beach, the boardwalk and the wharf.
