A Spoonful of Sugar ...

This past weekend, Lauren and I went to the last show of our Broadway San Jose subscription series.  The musical was Mary Poppins, and we had a great time.  Lauren enjoyed the music, including two songs she recognized from the fifth grade graduation at her school.  Her class sang "Let's Go Fly a Kite" to the fifth graders and another class sang "Steppin' Out".

I've signed us up for another season of Broadway San Jose, and next season includes "Blue Man Group", "Billy Elliott", "Peter Pan", "Memphis" and "Rock of Ages".

School ended on June 1 for Lauren, perhaps the earliest school dismissal in the entire Bay Area, as it seems everyone else is still in school.  She went to work with me for much of the week of June 4, as Lauris is still teaching, as Cupertino doesn't get out until today, June 12.  She enjoyed the time in the office, and we even went in early one day so we could stop by and get Krispy Kreme donuts for the office.

Lauren's officially on her way to second grade now, and she did great on her end of year report card, scoring the best marks this year for her.

I also took Lauren to "Bounce-a-Rama" this weekend, something of a cross between Pump-It-Up and Chuck E. Cheese.  She had a great time and was thoroughly exhausted by the time we left.
