While my mom was in the hospital a couple of weekends ago, my older sister and her partner had a pool party up in Davis. After discussion with Marie, it was decided Marie would stay with my mom Saturday night while I drove up to Davis for the party with Lars and Lauren. The party was great, and Lauren had a lot of fun. We spent the evening in West Sacramento at an Extended Stay America.
Sunday morning, before we drove back to the Bay Area, we spent the morning in West Sacramento in old Sacramento at the Train Museum with my sister's family as well as Annette's sisters' families.
Lauren loved the train museum, dragging me from train to train, wanting to get on every one and having a look inside each of them. She also had a lot of fun playing with her cousins in the children's play area on the second floor of the museum where they featured Thomas the Tank, and a few play railroad sets featuring Thomas.
After lunch we drove back home and checked on my mom who was discharged that day.
