We spent the weekend after Thanksgiving putting up Christmas lights on the house, and setting up our old Christmas tree outside on the front lawn with lights. We purchased a new Christmas tree this year, one of the new fandangled ones that is already pre-lit, so there's less work to do setting it up. It's also taller (7.5 feet), so it should fill out the dining room nicely this year. Lauren was less than excited about the lights, and after Lars told me to be careful on the roof, she spent her day reminding me to be careful every two minutes while I was on the roof. "Be careful daddy, it's very dangerous up there".
My mom remains pretty weak, but did manage to go to acupuncture on Sunday. On Monday she had a paracentesis, removing 6.2 liters of fluid, and she has a doctor's appointment today. If all goes well, she has chemo tomorrow, although in her weakened state, I'm not sure if she'll be up for it.
