This past week was spring break for Lars. We took advantage of the week off by driving down to Tucson, to finish closing on the house that Lars is buying there. He's planning on spending free time and summers down in Tucson to be close to his daughter Amie and grandkids. We started our drive down on Sunday, and were there by late Monday. We stayed at Amie's house for a few nights until escrow closed on the new house, and then we stayed in the new home. The house itself is brand new, so we're the first occupants. It's within walking distance to a water park, which will come in handy in the hot summers.
Lauren was a bit unhappy with the long car ride down, but she survived without too much trauma, and was happy to be in Tucson again where she got to play in some of the parks, and the animal zoo again. She wasn't too pleased with some of our shopping trips (to Home Depot for shades, etc), but she was a real trooper through the week.
We left Tucson Friday morning on a Southwest flight back to the Bay Area and were back home by early afternoon.
