Low key 5th Birthday

Lauren turned five on Tuesday. It was a relatively low-key birthday celebration compared to parties she's had in years past. The reason for the low-key birthday, is that we planned and held a big party for her at her pre-school before she and Lars left for Tucson. Her party included two ponies and a petting zoo with two goats, chickens, ducks and bunnies, followed by an ice cream sandwich treat, cupcakes, and a pinata! Aunt Marie, Michaela and Mariah even showed up for the event.

Even with already having a party, Lauren was able to enjoy her birthday in Arizona. It started with Lars taking her, along with Dane, Henley and Spencer to the Sonoran Desert Museum. After they got home, we went out to El Charro Cafe for a birthday dinner, followed by a small cake at home and opening presents. She also got a number of presents from Grand Uncle Tao and Grand Aunt Cathy sent to her in the mail, so she had no shortage of things to open.
