A few months ago we adopted a cat, Sabrina, but things haven't gone so well in our time with her. The entire time we've had her, she spends her days under our bed, and never comes out, unless we force her. She's not playful, nor does she come out for any reason, even to just be petted. The rescue organization we got her from thinks it may be because our home is too large and overwhelming for her, since she's 3 years old, and grew up in a single room. So they've offered to take her back and try to place her with someone with a small home, where she won't be able to hide so easily.
In her place we were offered two kittens for placement, and Lauren's fallen completely in love with them, she spent all her waking moments for the last two days playing with the kittens. They love the attention, and she loves making them jump and play with their cat toys. They are a brother and sister pair from the same litter.
The rescue organization is going to pick Sabrina up today, so it'll be sad to see her go, but hopefully she'll find a home that's more suited to her needs.
