Lauren's school held a career day last Friday, where they invited some parents (mostly ones like police officers, nurses, etc., basically those with obvious community impact), to give a short presentation on what their job was like and what they did for the community. As a follow up to career day, Lauren's homework this week was to write up a short report on which "community helper" she'd like to be when she grows up, and then to come to school today (Wednesday, March 16) dressed up as that community helper.
Lauren chose to write her report on becoming a librarian. Mostly because she said she likes "horse" books. So to dress up, we picked a simple dress she had, put her hair up in a bun, and found some books she wanted to share with the class, that she could carry around with her while she gave her report.
