Time does fly, and it is only 3 days to Christmas. So preparations are underway, the house is decorated, and a feast has yet to be planned.
My parents flew in from Vegas yesterday, and straight away we went up to Redwood City so my dad could get his weekly blood draw, before this chemo today. It's the fourth week of chemo, so it's likely today's session will be a short one.
My dad seems to have a good appetite lately, eating quite a bit at the buffet and at the restaurants at the Bellagio. He also had the stamina to be babysitter for Michaela while the rest of us, Marie, my mom, Lars and myself went down to Mandalay Bay to catch the performance of Mamma Mia!. It was a late birthday present for Marie, whose birthday (along with Amelia's birthday) went relatively unnoticed this month, mostly due to the holiday festivities. It's always difficult being born this close to a holiday.
Other than that the trip to Vegas was relatively uneventful. Lars and I stayed at the Hotel San Remo, which had a rather ordinary casino, but had a better than expected room, given the low daily rate. It was certainly nothing like the Bellagio suite that my parents stayed in though.
So in case I missed you somehow, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a very Happy New Year.
