A delay in chemo

My mom's been feeling particularly weak this week, partly because her ascites (accumulation of fluid) has been particularly acute, and partly because she's been a little bit anemic.

To address the anemia, she had two units of blood transfused on Tuesday in anticipation of her chemo on Wednesday this week. Unfortunately even after the transfusion she did not feel well enough to go to chemo on Wednesday so it was postponed until today, Friday so that she could have a paracentesis (to remove her fluid) yesterday.

They removed over 7 liters of fluid yesterday in the paracentesis, one of the higher amounts of fluid she's had removed in the many paracentesis procedures she's had.

She's still weak and uncomfortable, but she's going ahead with the chemotherapy today.
Being the trooper that she is, she still considering going to a museum with my older sister and her kids tomorrow before the wedding reception tomorrow evening, which she's also planning on going to.
