On Saturday, Lauren and I drove up to Oakland to meet my older sister, her kids Daniel and Amelia, and Marie's family (Michael, Michaela and Mariah) at Uzen Japanese restaurant. Lauren was really excited to go as she doesn't get to see her cousins as often as she used to when her Grandmother was alive. We were split into two tables, one with adults and one with just the kids. Lauren happily sat with the rest of the kids and played with them throughout the dinner.
Lauren's already excited that it's Mariah's birthday party next week and can't wait to see her cousins again next weekend.
