Well, I missed wishing everyone a Happy New Year in time, so here's my belated "Gong Xi Fai Cai". Chinese New Year's Day was February 9th, and my family is going to celebrate the New Year of the Rooster on February 19th, Saturday in a dinner get together.
My two aunts are hosting this year's celebration. In case you think we're meeting up rather late, I should let you know that Chinese New Year is celebrated for two weeks! So we're right on time.
Hopefully you got your "Hong Bao" (red envelope) for the new year. And oranges (with the stem and leaves still attached) for good luck.
