Lauren seems to miss everyone when she doesn't see them for a while. It wasn't any different with her cousins Michaela and Mariah who she hasn't seen in an over a month, so she's been begging me to set up a play date with them. It finally happened this past Saturday. We got to Aunt Marie and Uncle Mike's house around noon. Aunt Marie prepared some lunch, and then the girls got to have play time which they took full advantage of.
We also took a walk out to the park near Marie's house where the girls got to swing and go down slides. Afterwards, they played in Marie's backyard. After Uncle Mike got back, we went out to dinner at Carrow's and then the girls got to go on a bike ride out to Heron Bay. It was a long day, and Lauren enjoyed every minute of it.
On Sunday, Lauren got to go to a birthday party for one of her pre-school classmates at a place called "My Gym", a little recreation gym for toddlers. She declared it was the best birthday party ever, and insisted we have her next birthday party there. For an hour and a half party, the staff there definitely worked hard and made sure the kids had fun every second they were there.
