Happy Birthday Lars and Happy Birthday Daniel!

This past Saturday was Lars' birthday and today is Daniel's birthday, so Happy birthday to you both! For Lars' birthday, we went up to San Francisco and saw a showing of the Broadway musical, "Movin' Out", featuring the music of Billy Joel and choreography by Twyla Tharp. Afterwards, we returned back down to San Jose, where my parents took Lars, Marie, Michael, Michaela, and myself out to dinner to celebrate Lars' birthday. Our first choice, Red Lobster, was unfortunately too croweded (with over an hour wait), so we ended up having dinner at Chevy's (which would have been Lars' first choice anyway).

Lars got to be serenaded and given the standard Chevy's straw hat for his birthday (something I know my cousin Eric loves to receive on his birthday).

On Sunday we drove up to the north to Sacramento valley, and visited Daniel during his birthday party. Turning 3 was a special occasion, with a kiddie pool, sprinkler toys, birthday cake, sidewalk chalk drawing and even a pinata at the party. There were lots of little kids, and even lots of little babies. Michaela was joined by twins who were born ten days ago, the kids of a friend of my sister's and Annette's.

Somewhere in the middle of all this excitement, I managed to install a new sink and faucet in the hall bathroom, which greatly upgrades the bathroom's appearance, and Lars has been hard at work staining and polyurethaning the french doors and the glass sliding doors in the living room. The house is really beginning to have a finished feel to it! So you'll have to visit if you haven't already.
