My two aunts, Mei-Ling and A-gimm and my uncle William all go on to New York today. As of this posting they're checked in and on their way to the airplane. For William, it is of course a trip home, after a short visit to California. The two aunts will leave from SFO on a direct flight back to Taiwan in early July.
They seemed to have enjoyed their visit to California. Marie's baby gave them the excuse to come out. As my aunt A-gimm said if it wasn't for the baby she'd probably be vacationing in Fuzhou, China instead of San Jose, California.
With the relatives safely on their way, hopefully this means my parents get to relax a little, and ease up their busy schedule.
On the flip side of this, they have little Michaela to take care of during the week now, so maybe their weeks are only going to get busier! Last night, Marie and Michael (and Michaela) picked up my parents from the airport (coming in from their trip to Las Vegas). After their arrival, Lars and I joined them all for a late dinner at the Flames coffee shop. It was quite obvious that Michael's having a tough time being separated from little Michaela.
I'll be off to my parents again tonight to install the baby seat into their car for them. It's a little more complicated than it looks, believe it or not. We want to make sure it's properly installed for the most precious cargo of all!
